From Don to all of you

First - thank you all for the kind words. "Don Hall is Aids" warms my heart...truly.

Second, all of you should know that I could whip your asses if we were competitors on the new American Gladiators in spite of the massive weight of my man-balls.

Third, thank you. Michael Shurtleff wrote in "Audition" that you can learn more about a character in a play by what others say of him than by any other means. If that is the case, then I'm pretty happy to be described in such interesting ways by such interesting and inspiring people. It absolutely made my day.

From Fred Mowery

As usual, I am the last person to find out about things like this...and things like people dying, having children, etc.

To quote James T. Kirk...

"Of my friend, I can only say this. Of all the souls I've encountered in my travels, his was the most...Human"

With admiration and respect.

My apologies, Fremo, for not getting the notice to you. Thank you so much for putting in a word.

Much affection,

Jen

With Love From Speedy

Don, darling, so sorry I didn't get my ass in gear in time to get a post to Jen by this morning. I spent most of the weekend hiding from email.

You are:

- brash, crude and hilarious
- the big brother i never had
- the only man i've never slept with, but still seen the junk of
- my mentor
- the person who says the stuff i only think
- someone i'd trust with my life or my artistic vision or my really expensive car
- a friend i wouldn't trade for the world

Go forth and spread joy, my child.

no worries, jj. I had to go and move to st. louis - come to think of it, i wouldn't be here if i wasn't married to my brilliant wife. and i wouldn't have met her if ol' Blood and Guts wasn't running WNEP. We miss you all.

Love
Fred and Sarah

Mike Powers is a horse's ass - this is such a nice idea, I even told a bunch of friends about it - sent reminders to myself twice, and then yup, slacked and slacked until it was past noon on the 3rd.

How about a sappy post?

My 2 favorite Don Hall memories are a) the point during the very first rehearsals of Loser's Bracket where I absolutely couldn't get through the fishing scene without breaking - the thought of having to turn and be nose-to-nose with Don (and supposedly being pissed) would just start me breaking long in advance of the actual movement - I'd have the supressed-smile grimace and then just explode laughing. I'd like to think I got over it at some point in the various runs, but I'm not sure.

I am also very grateful for my experience in Defending Your Life. I know I was the weakest link in the cast, and often got into my head (*shakes fist* - imPROV!!!), but I had a terror-filled blast doing it.

Happy Birthday, old man!

Don R. Hall is the Beatles of grilling.

At the very least, the Wings of grilling.
